Packing irregular items

How to ensure safe transportation

Whether your package is large, heavy or irregularly shaped, extra attention is needed for packaging and handling. Surcharges may apply if your shipments requires special handling. Be sure to contact us for assistance.

Irregular items

Tubes

Light tube-shaped items can be packed in a triangular shipping tube. Heavier cyclinders should be strapped to a pallet without overhang and a level top surface.

Unboxed items

Large items that are unpackaged should be strapped to a pallet. You can add additional reinforcement with a protective wooden frame or cover it with an overturned box. Ensure to use additional padding to protect any sharp edges which may be exposed.

Sharp and protruding items

Sharp items must be wrapped in protective padding before being placed in a box. Don't allow anything to protrude from the packed box, as it may be damaged when stacked. If necessary, consider a larger box or a pallet.

Oversized and heavy items

Contact us below if you think your package exceeds our Maximum weight and dimensions.

Clearly label your package

Second hand boxes may be too loose. Ensure your box is firm and rigid and in the best possible condition.
